Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man Universe expanded outside of the Venom franchise recently. Jared Leto’s Morbius, initially set for a July 2020 release, made its long-awaited debut in theaters to a less than favorable reaction. Ratings for Morbius placed it more akin to Fantastic Four (2015) and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance than recent hits like Spider-Man: No Way Home. Despite being peppered with nods to The Incredible Hulk, The Dark Knight, and X-Men, the living vampire’s narrative largely stood on its own until the post-credits scenes....

As time draws nearer to the annual May the 4th fan holiday, anticipation for Star Wars: The Bad Batch grows. The Bad Batch, also known as experimental Clone Force 99, is set to take on the role of a group of mercenaries as the Imperial era begins....

Marvel Studios’ first venture into long-form storytelling on Disney+ is starting off slowly, but that shouldn’t leave MCU fans disappointed only two weeks in. The first three episodes of WandaVision are doing everything they can to set up a story unlike any told in the franchise’s history, and the larger plot is already being teased after only about 90 minutes of released footage. After the double dose of premiere episodes debuted on January 15, setting up Wanda and Vision in their 1950s and 60s sitcom-inspired lives, Episode 3 helped reveal to the MCU fandom that this story is about to go bonkers....

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is currently preparing to wrap production, as its final scenes are shot in London this week. The multiverse-hopping sequel started rolling its cameras in November, however, had to endure a brief pause due to the COVID-19 restrictions in England.Earlier in the week, it was reported that filming was ongoing on Burrow Hill Cider Farm in Somerset. The location filming is believed to have included the titular star Benedict Cumberbatch, Scarlet Witch actress Elizabeth Olsen, and WandaVision’s young twins’ actors Julian Hilliard and Jett Klyne....

Obi-Wan Kenobi is set to take center stage in the first live-action Star Wars series on Disney+ in 2022.
