Deadpool 3 is currently in development at Marvel Studios with sister-duo Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin tapped as writers. Writers and executive producers for the animated sitcom Bob’s Burgers, the sisters were both reportedly handpicked by leading actor Ryan Reynolds, who will have a hand in the creative process of the film. Fans were also happy to learn that the third film would remain R-rated, as was always the case. As Marvel continues searching for the right director, some are questioning how this rating will affect Deadpool interacting with the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which the original director answered in a recent interview....

From 2015 to 2019, Marvel TV released thirteen seasons of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, and The Punisher on Netflix combined. There were undeniably plenty of ups and downs in terms of quality and reactions, but Daredevil and Jessica Jones are generally considered to be the most consistently high quality. Jessica Jones starred Krysten Ritter as a hard-nosed and emotionally tormented super-powered private investigator, who previously spent years under the mind control of David Tennant’s villainous and manipulative Kilgrave....

Earlier this year John Krasinski had the entire Marvel fandom vibrating as he cameoed as Reed Richards from an alternate universe in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This appearance comes as both an MCU Fantastic Four film and this inter-dimensional sequel have been thrown on the Marvel Studios slate following years of fans casting the actor in that very role. However, it is currently unknown if the star from The Office would return as the character, or if this was more of a one-time thing....

After taking some time away from the MCU to work on The Suicide Squad and the Peacemaker HBO Max series, James Gunn is finally preparing to begin production on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. While the highly-anticipated sci-fi sequel won’t hit theaters until May 2023, the Guardians are expected to get back in front of the camera this November to shoot the third installment and a Disney+ Holiday Special. As with every James Gunn film, fans are excited to hear what pop hits will be included in Awesome Mix Vol....

It has been an up and down year for fans of the Halo franchise. First gamers were finally treated to footage of a next-gen Halo with Halo Infinite. Infinite was initially set to release alongside the Xbox Series X/S back in November, but just weeks before launch 343 Industries had push the game into 2021. That initial delay was then followed by another, pushing the game to Fall of next year....

Marvel Studios finished off its 2021 slate with Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye series, finally giving the original Avenger his first long-awaited solo project. While telling his story, the show also set up adventures for exciting new characters like Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop and Alaqua Cox’s Echo. Cox will even get to lead her own Echo solo series, which was officially confirmed during Disney+ Day 2021. Maya Lopez started largely as an antagonist in Hawkeye, going after Clint Barton for allegedly killing her father during Clint’s days as the vigilante Ronin....

For those who haven’t seen the recent news, Ryan Reynolds just broke the internet by announcing that Deadpool 3 would bring back Hugh Jackman to play Wolverine one last time. Needless to say, the world is excited by the prospect of seeing those two properly share the screen together for the first time.It makes sense that Reynolds would want Jackman to join him for his threequel. The star has always wanted to see Wolverine and Deadpool team up and never got the chance to do so in the Fox-produced universe....

Jeff Loveness, the writer behind both Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, offered some comments on how both the Multiverse and the Quantum Realm are connected.In the MCU, time seems to be intrinsically intertwined with the Multiverse—which is not necessarily the case in the comics.Time travel was first set up back in Avengers: Endgame, both to help save half of existence and also to tease the next MCU saga....

It has long been apparent that the twin sons of Wanda and Vision would be making an appearance in this series, first hinted at by the presence of two cribs in the “Big Game” spot for the Disney+ shows. It was also indicated by a leaked test screening for a child actor asking about an “uncle,” which is likely Wanda’s brother, Pietro, who died in Avengers: Age of Ultron. So, fans knew that they would see these children grow up over the course of the series at a likely rapid rate....

Throughout Groot’s live-action tenure, the Marvel hero has gone through several design changes, ranging from Adult Groot to the fan-favorite Baby Groot. The latter has since received his own series of shorts on Disney+ titled I Am Groot, which chronicled his misadventures in the galaxy. Although the spotlight has been centered on Baby Groot after the successful release of his Disney+ shorts, there are still mysteries attached to the character, such as its adorable design....

Spider-Man: No Way Home surprised everyone when Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock appeared to help sort out the legal troubles of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. Although the cameo was brief, many fans have been speculating on whether a future team-up between the two heroes will eventually happen now that Daredevil is firmly in the MCU. One possible entry point for a Daredevil and Spider-Man team-up that many have campaigned for is on the former’s Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again....

Iron Fist star Finn Jones recently opened up on what went wrong with his solo Marvel series from the Netflix-based Defenders Saga.Although the Defenders Saga produced arguably some of the best Marvel content fans have seen over the 21st century, Iron Fist was unquestionably the lowest point in the franchise from a critical perspective. This was particularly the case with Season 1, which earned the lowest ratings and reception out of all the shows that made up the Netflix saga, much of it due to some incredibly poor action sequences and plot developments....

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness surprised fans right from the opening moment with the reveal that the Scarlet Witch would be the film’s main antagonist. This led to some pretty impressive fight sequences between the MCU’s two most powerful magic-wielders, although there have also been plenty of discussions about more of that coming through in deleted scenes. Most of that focus has been on the sequel’s unused opening sequence, which would have featured Wanda Maximoff killing Earth-616’s Baron Mordo....

If one thing is to be said for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, its that the show isn’t afraid to give away hints with its trailers. While not quite as jaw-dropping as the surprising appearance by Daredevil, new trailers have shown a peek at the future of Tim Roth’s Emil Blonsky/Abomination after his apparent escape (and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings tie-in) in Episode 2.Life doesn’t be seeming to be getting any easier for Tatiana Maslany’s Jennifer Walters....

And even as they can sometimes lead us to live life virtually instead of being truly in the moment, they can also bring us closer to the world around us. We have been waiting for the “Kitchen of the future” longer than we have for jetpacks and hover boards. But like the House of Tomorrow, it has been described as “a vision perpetually deferred and one that tells us more about the preoccupations of the time than it does about the designs of the future.” And indeed, earlier on TreeHugger I looked at kitchens of the future through the lens of Rose Eveleth, who noted that kitchen design was stuck in a cultural time warp....

Through the years, the DC Extended Universe has had its fair share of ups and downs. After successfully launching the franchise in 2013 with Man of Steel, the DCEU somewhat failed to sustain their momentum with the underwhelming response to 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, ultimately leading to a disappointing outing for 2017’s Justice League. However, there was a proven entry in-between those movies that sparked a glimmer of hope for the franchise: Wonder Woman....
