Later this year, Marvel Studios will add to the Hulk legacy for the first time in 14 years with Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk on Disney+. The 10-episode comedy boasts an all-star cast of characters, including another appearance for Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk and Tim Roth’s Abomination, and it’s led by directors Kat Coiro and Anu Valia. Coiro is best known for her work on comedic projects like the Emmy-winning It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and Brooklyn 99, and she has a couple of big movie credits on her resume as well, such as the recently released Marry Me with Loki’s Owen Wilson....

Warner Bros. is going through a tumultuous time thanks to its recent merger with Discovery, undergoing a number of shifts in its content strategy. Aside from canceling a wide array of projects like Batgirl, one of the big pushes for WB is to raise its DC brand to the heights of Marvel Studios. Incumbent Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav has high hopes that the studio’s superhero brand will find a figure similar to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige to steer the ship, a lofty goal given that they supposedly have a ten-year plan ahead of them....
I’m sitting on deep green moss at the base of an old Sitka spruce. Sunlight is filtering down through a canopy of pine and alder, vine maple and salmonberry. On my right, a small creek tumbles over rocks and fine silt, wraps around the little knoll I’m on and continues down a small green ravine into a sedge-filled marsh. There’s a tiny, mouse-sized (and mouse-colored) Pacific wren a few feet away feeding in the tangle of sword ferns, and a few minutes ago a varied thrush flew up from the underbrush into the spruce, staring down at me for a minute or two before flying off....

Cyberpunk 2077 has been marred with controversy ever since its launch in December 2020, with its developer CD Projekt receiving a significant amount of blowback. While some included legacy heroes like Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man and Nicolas Cage’s Ghost Rider, one report even teased a potential MCU debut for Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool. Between Thor: Love & Thunder and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the Marvel Studios movies of 2022 have introduced many new corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The least of which is the afterlife for the first non-Earth-based location in MCU history, Valhalla. The post-credit scene to Thor: Love & Thunder shows the newly appointed Mighty Thor of Asgard, Jane Foster, arriving in the afterlife of the Gods. For the first time since the movie’s release and launch on Disney+, there is now behind-the-scenes footage of the scene....

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness broke the mold in more than one way for the MCU upon its May 6 release. Not only did it give Benedict Cumberbatch his long-awaited second solo movie, but it also tied directly into the events of WandaVision on Disney+ while expanding the MCU’s barriers with the introduction of the Multiverse. As has been the case over the MCU’s entire history, there have been a number of films that do more than others in terms of setting up the future - think Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War....
The MCU has expanded (or perhaps “embiggened”) yet again with its latest addition to Disney+ in Ms. Marvel, a coming-of-age origin story set in Jersey City, New Jersey that’s confirmed to play into The Marvels in 2023. Starring Iman Vellani as sixteen-year-old, Pakistani-American Kamala Khan, Ms. Marvel is a story of what happens when a superhero superfan gets powers of her own. Unlike her character in the comics, Kamala Khan’s Reed Richards-esque stretchy powers have been swapped for those of the cosmic variety and which she happens to discover on-stage AvengerCon at Captain America’s Camp Lehigh....
