With Spider-Man: No Way Home now out in the wild, the last MCU installment to round out the year is the final episode of Disney+’s Hawkeye. The finale is set to wrap up a plethora of lingering story threads, in addition to fully introducing Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin to the MCU. With a reported 59 minute runtime, there will be plenty of time for Hawkeye to give the show a proper sendoff and include some surprises....

Warner Bros. is taking a break from Justice League-style team-up movies for the time being within the DC Extended Universe, instead looking to more grounded solo efforts like Matt Reeves’ The Batman. The comic book movie world is in an absolutely frantic place right now thanks to Zack Snyder’s Justice League from the DCEU and “Episode 1” of The Falcon and the Winter Solider from the MCU arriving last weekend. After finding success directing Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Destin Daniel Cretton has seemingly added another MCU project to his schedule before he takes on Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Cretton is quickly becoming one of the hottest names in the MCU stable, as he is tapped to take part in the upcoming Wonder Man series on Disney+. Wonder Man was announced back in June, with Cretton originally tapped to serve as executive producer/showrunner on the “Hollywood satire” for Marvel Studios....

Ironheart is set to introduce another hero into the MCU in the form of Dominique Thorne’s Riri Williams. The upcoming Marvel series has no release date, but signs indicate that it will join Secret Invasion in the studio’s stacked 2023 slate. While plot details are still being kept under wraps, the porject is slowly taking shape as new cast members are being reported to have joined the show, such as Lyric Ross (This Is Us) and Anthony Ramos (Hamilton)....

Outside more than two dozen movies and TV shows confirmed to come to the MCU over the next few years, Marvel Studios still has a few unannounced tricks up its sleeve. This largely comes in the form of the X-Men movies, which haven’t explicitly been discussed by Marvel, but are widely expected to join the expanding narrative before too long. Rumors have pointed to Disney and Marvel currently developing a project called The Mutants, which will likely tackle the MCU’s version of the mythology behind these heroes....

Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan has arrived, and her show, Ms. Marvel, is off to a great start. While viewership numbers might paint the wrong picture, both critics and fans alike are loving the New Jersey-based superhero. One of the key elements of her character is how she’s such a big fangirl of superheroes themselves—much like the very audiences watching the Disney+ series. In that sense, the show can get pretty meta at points....
