Pellet stoves have become darlings of the green home heating world, in some ways; they’re more efficient and have fewer particle emissions than their wood-burning stove brethren, but they aren’t a perfect solution. Many pellet stoves require electricity, taking them out of service when the power goes out, and pellets and other fuel can be hard to find in all areas. Leed is for wimps; the Living Building Challenge really pushes the building envelope. The Greenbuild conference is built around the LEED certification developed by the US Green Building Council, but LEED is for wimps compared to the Living Building Challenge (LBC). A tour of Kendeda Building on Georgia Institute of Technology campus is a great example of the standard’s ambitions and contradictions. It’s also a really lovely building designed by Lord Aeck Sargent and the Miller Hull Partnership, the same firm that designed the other great demonstration of the LBC, the Bullitt Center in Seattle....

Marvel Studios has officially completed its first definitively canon season of television within the MCU, with the WandaVision finale episode debuting last weekend. The story brought exciting action and drama throughout its 50-minute runtime as final battles ensued between Wanda and Agatha Harkness, Monica Rambeau and SWORD, and Vision and White Vision. After six of the first seven episodes mostly centered around the sitcom-style reality that Wanda had created inside the Hex, the last two weeks have shown what Marvel Studios can bring to the streaming world with the time and money afforded to them for these new shows....

As She-Hulk: Attorney at Law approaches its end, the eighth installment finally featured Charlie Cox’s Daredevil (who was much more similar to his Netflix version than some initially thought). However, alongside the arrival of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen is the involvement of another unexpected vigilante – Leap-Frog. Marvel StudiosThe character’s introduction has long been teased ever since She-Hulk’s first trailer. In fact, Leap-Frog secretly made his debut in Episode 5, with the installment showing actor Brandon Stanley as Eugene Patilio exiting superhero designer Luke Jacobson’s office....

As much as we love “Jurassic Park” — now in 3-D! — there are times when we fantasize about visiting a dinosaur-filled property sans the tropical storms, electrical shutdowns and constant shrieking of Laura Dern. Luckily, there are plenty such places. Dating back to 1854 with the debut of the Dinosaur Court at Crystal Palace Park in London, outdoor parks centered around very large — although often scientifically inaccurate — replicas of prehistoric beasts have long captured the imagination of the public in a way that massive fossil collections and cast skeletons simply can’t match....

More importantly, however, the reality is also home to the Illuminati, an extremely powerful group protecting the world in the shadows—yes, even after Tony Stark’s Ultron program was successful. Thanks to Wanda and her dream walking, the group didn’t make it to the end of the movie....

Wanda Maximoff has no doubt become one of the most popular characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date, helped immensely by Elizabeth Olsen’s incredible performance. The actress first graced screens as the Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but her collaboration has since continued for five more projects, including the latest blockbuster Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Funko jumped on the marketing train for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 with new figurines for the MCU threequel ahead of its May 2023 release.Although Guardians 3 is only the second MCU movie of the year to release, it’s become the most anticipated superhero movie of 2023 amongst fans as hype builds for its debut. While its popularity amongst its Marvel Studios peers continues to rise, the threequel’s merchandising run also adds to that excitement with new collectibles and commemorative items highlighting the film’s biggest characters....

Over the past few years in the DC Universe, there hasn’t been much in terms of storytelling for one of the Justice League’s most iconic members - the Green Lantern. The only action that any Lantern has seen recently was through a short cameo in last year’s Zack Snyder’s Justice League, although that’s set to change thanks to the upcoming Green Lantern Corps series in development for HBO Max. Although the series was announced well over a year ago, Green Lantern Corps has largely flown under the radar with only a couple of big announcements for some of its on and off-screen personnel....

In recent weeks, Marvel Studios has been showering fans with new trailers and first looks at a variety of upcoming projects. The most recent drop was a glimpse at the MCU’s newest hero, Shang-Chi, in the form of an official trailer. Simu Liu, who will star as the titular character in Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings, shared a first look image of the Master Of Kung Fu, before seemingly being surprised by Marvel Studios with the full-length trailer, on his birthday....
