Warner Bros. and DC Films are doing everything in their power to bring top-notch talent into play for their upcoming movies within the DCEU. This includes adding stars like Office Space’s Ron Livingston into the cast of The Flash and former 007 Pierce Brosnan to the cast of Black Adam, which already boasts Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as its leading man. This is continuing with Shazam!: Fury of the Gods, which is currently the last film on the slate with a confirmed release date....

Dear Pablo: I grow plenty of vegetables in the summer but can’t in the winter. In addition to preserving what I can in canning jars, I am thinking about getting a freezer chest to store my vegetables into the winter. I am concerned about the energy use and am wondering if it is better or worse for the environment than buying vegetables that are shipped from far away. There are so many rewards in producing and preserving your own foods, and extending the availability of your own produce into the winter can be a healthy and environmentally friendly way to feed yourself and your family....

With its polka-dotted wings, the spotted lanternfly is a pretty little insect. But looks can be deceiving — Lycorma delicatula is incredibly destructive. Spotted lanternflies feast hungrily on many plants including fruit trees, hardwoods, grapevines and ornamentals. As the U.S. Department of Agriculture points out: “If allowed to spread in the United States, this pest could seriously impact the country’s grape, orchard, and logging industries.” Native to southeast Asia, the pest was first spotted in Pennsylvania in 2014 and has since been detected in eight states....

Andor has taken a deeper dive into mature content than previous Star Wars stories, though creator Tony Gilroy was restricted by Lucasfilm in exploring two concepts in-depth onscreen on Disney+.The series made its intentions clear immediately when Cassian Andor visited a brothel in the opening sequence of the first episode. Intimate relationships between characters have been covered in ways more blunt than anything else Star Wars has ever done, like things getting steamy between Bix and Timm on Ferrix and their bedroom discussion the morning after....

One of the longer Star Wars droughts in recent memory is nearly over - and maybe for good. 2022 promises to feature a stacked line-up of stories in the galaxy far, far away. The Book of Boba Fett will debut this December and carry over into the early months of next year, and at some point, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, and The Bad Batch Season 2 will begin streaming on Disney+. There’s also the ILM and Lucasfilm Animation movie A Droid Story on the horizon, likely several Disney Gallery features for their accompanying projects and, presumably, The Mandalorian Season 3 will close out next year’s release slate....

The shows and movies set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe take place all around…well, the universe. While most of the studio’s stories were based on Earth at first, they quickly expanded to cover locations on far-off planets. When it comes to filming locations, on the other hand, Marvel Studios sticks to a select few tried-and-true spots for the most part. These include London, Sydney, Los Angeles, and the city that has become the most synonymous with Marvel productions, Atlanta....

The upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder is, in many ways, an extremely fresh-looking film, with an exciting (and highly praised) new villain and a level of signature Taika Waititi camp even beyond that seen in Ragnarok. Even so, the fourth Thor film also features the return of many key elements from the series, ones that look to take the sequel to new heights. One of the more exciting returns is that of Natalie Portman, coming back to the MCU after a marked 9-year absence....

Star Wars unveiled a new poster of Emperor Palpatine to commemorate his role in Season 2 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch on Disney+.Even though the animated series is set in the early days of the Galactic Empire, The Bad Batch tends to show the effect of Palpatine on the galaxy as opposed to Palpatine himself. However, in Episode 8 titled “Truth and Consequences,” Palpatine makes a surprising and chilling cameo....

The Batman is currently enjoying its theatrical run in most territories worldwide while also smashing box office records along the way. Still, the Robert Pattinson-led movie hopes to continue its climb to the top as it receives the green light to premiere in China on March 18, 2022, marking the first time that a comic book movie will be released in the country during the pandemic. Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman pits the World’s Greatest Detective against Paul Dano’s Riddler, with the movie highlighting the villain’s darker and more manic side....

Following the great success of The Mandalorian, the Star Wars galaxy is set to expand in its biggest fashion yet through a huge range of Disney+ series. The various projects will span the entire timeline of the franchise, from the High Republic-set The Acolyte to a multitude of interconnected stories in the post-original trilogy era of The Mandalorian. However, as the universe expands, it seems fans may need to prepare for the time between seasons to increase when it comes to the show that started it all....
