After almost a year of lockdowns and restrictions on social contact due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the beginning of 2021 finally offered a glimmer of hope as the vaccine rollout seemingly offered a path back to normality. Since March 2020, hundreds of highly-anticipated theatrical releases have been delayed due to the pandemic closing of theaters around the world. But as cases decline and the world’s economies began to reopen, Hollywood was finally able to start releasing major blockbusters again....

With reports teasing how old the new replacement for Superman will be in the DC Universe (DCU), DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn clarified his comments on what fans should expect.Superman has been a hot topic in recent weeks following Gunn’s long-awaited announcement revealing the Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters slate that will kick off the new DCU in 2025. Star Wars: The Bad Batch is Lucasfilm Animation’s latest series, serving as somewhat of a sequel to Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Having aired episodes on Disney+ since May the 4th, The Bad Batch follows experimental Clone Force 99 as they navigate the galaxy in the wake of the events of Revenge of the Sith and the changes that follow. Much like The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels that came before, The Bad Batch has its own story to tell but still finds a way to connect itself to other Star Wars stories....

The DC Extended Universe is slowly building up to the debut of its only canon 2021 debut. James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad is coming to theaters and HBO Max in August. With this movie coming on the heels of the widely controversial Suicide Squad from 2016, Gunn is looking to reinvent the team by bringing together returning DCEU stars and new characters alike. Trailers for the movie have teased a wild adventure with villains like Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn and Idris Elba’s Bloodsport leading the way, filled with cursing and gratuitous violence at every turn....
