As Marvel Studios looks ahead to its 2022 slate of projects, the team behind the MCU remains on top of its game in the trailer department with the first full look at Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight. Giving fans the first MCU Disney+ series with an all-new hero leading the way, Moon Knight is already making an impact and becoming one of the most anticipated entries of the year. The recently-released first trailer for Moon Knight provided a look at the MCU’s take on the psychological thriller as Isaac starts off in his Steven Knight personality, only revealing his true identity as Marc Spector in the closing seconds....

Marvel Studios shared the best look yet at the MCU’s version of MODOK in the IMAX trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.After being confirmed for a role in Ant-Man 3 during Marvel Studios’ San Diego Comic-Con 2022 presentation, Marvel Studios finally provided the first official look at MODOK during the threequel’s second full trailer. While there were only two quick shots of the mechanical antagonist, that footage was enough to set him up as a powerful force in the Quantum Realm as he works alongside Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror....

Most of the prefab houses that we show on TreeHugger are the high-end, architecturally jazzy type, usually modular with big boxes towed down the road. But it isn’t the only way to prefab. Marvel Studios’ She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is now out in the world with its first episode, giving fans a first taste of Tatiana Maslany’s Jennifer Walters in action. But even with only one episode under their belt, Maslany and the team have already had to deal with their fair share of criticism regarding the final visual product brought to the small screen, particularly with how She-Hulk herself looks. Much of this has to do with the lack of muscles that She-Hulk’s superhero form boasts, even though she stands with a presence at over six and a half feet tall....

Disney’s Investor Day 2020 announced a multitude of new projects from the galaxy far, far away, including new Star Wars films for the big screen and television series for Disney+. Fans received updates on previously announced series like Obi-Wan Kenobi, which will indeed bring Hayden Christensen back in the role of Darth Vader. Some rumored shows were also confirmed, as a series called Ahsoka was announced with Rosario Dawson reprising her role from The Mandalorian....

Rumor has it that Star Wars will finally bring its force witches to live-action in Skeleton Crew on Disney+.Previously, it was revealed how Ahsoka would be exploring an entirely new area of space never before seen—alongside having Thrawn as the big bad.That show was also said to be introducing new concepts which will carry over to other shows down the line.Interestingly enough, in the same report, it was said that Ivanna Sakhno would be playing a Nightsister or Lightsister in the Rosario Dawson-led show....

Star Wars: The High Republic is set to dive deep into an unexplored era in the galaxy far, far, away, placing the focus on the Golden Age of the Jedi while also teasing the threats of the Dark Side that are lurking in the shadows. The High Republic era will be first explored in a series of prequel stories that will be launched by Lucasfilm Publishing this January, starting with Charles Soule’s The Light of the Jedi....

Marvel Studios’ newest feature film Thor: Love and Thunder has officially hit theaters! The Chris Hemsworth-led sequel reunited many cast members from previous Thor movies, including, but not limited to, Dr. Jane Foster, who finds herself able to wield Thor’s hammer Mjölnir, which grants her superpowers. In the director’s chair once again was Taika Waititi. The New Zealand filmmaker was credited with revitalizing Thor’s character in 2017’s Ragnarok. There has been plenty of set photo leaks from Spider-Man 3, showing Tom Holland filming with his brother, the possibility of an entirely new suit being introduced, and even Aunt May’s charity efforts still going strong. It has even been revealed that at least a portion of this threequel will take place during the Christmas season. Thus far, the plot of Spider-Man 3 is still a bit of a mystery, as it seems like it will still deal with Peter’s identity being revealed to the public, but that the multiverse will be involved too....

Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror is poised to make a grand big-screen debut in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed that the MCU villain will be “shouldering” the Multiverse Saga while also hinting that “different incarnations” of Kang will appear throughout the different phases. While Loki only scratched the surface in terms of showing how dangerous Kang really is, the first footage from Quantumania revealed that the Variant in the threequel already murdered several members of the Avengers before, posing danger to Team Ant-Man....

The DCEU is deep into the process of filming numerous blockbuster movies for the next couple of years, which includes Ezra Miller’s long-awaited solo movie The Flash. This movie has been in the works for most of the past decade, and it’s gaining considerable hype considering Barry Allen is one of the few core members of the Justice League to not receive a solo story yet. With the multiverse coming into play as well, Allen will have a great deal of backup for the challenges he’s set to face next year....

Marvel Studios’ theatrical release slate has been in flux for over a year now. Black Widow was originally set to kick off Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in May 2020 prior to the pandemic. After three delays, the Scarlett Johansson-starring movie seems likely to stick to its current July 9, 2021 date, on which it will release in both theaters and on Disney+ Premiere Access. Following supporting roles in seven MCU movies (plus a Captain Marvel cameo), Johansson will lead the way in her first solo film featuring the Russian assassin-turned-hero....

Marvel Studios’ first Special Presentation is due to drop on Disney+ Friday, October 7. Werewolf by Night clocks in at roughly an hour long and is meant to serve as a sort of Halloween MCU installment.The special sees a group of monster hunters who convene after the demise of their leader only to discover that a supernatural creature exists among them. As such, Werewolf by Night was made to be scary, with many early reviews calling it the most violent thing the MCU has done yet....

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to push the concept of alternate realities into the forefront, with Benedict Cumberbatch’s titular sorcerer at the center of it. Aside from Strange, the upcoming MCU sequel will feature new and returning allies, such as Benedict Wong’s Wong, Xochitl Gomez’s America Chavez, and Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch. However, based on trailer footage, it seems that Wanda (or a version of Wanda) will be at the other end of the fight, meaning that Strange will have his hands full....

Live-action Star Wars storytelling is set to return to Disney+ in a big way in 2022. While 2021 offered Star Wars: Bad Batch and Star Wars: Visions, the drought ends on December 29, 2021 with The Book of Boba Fett followed by Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, and, potentially, Ahsoka. Even though any new content is good news for Star Wars fans, the Obi-Wan Kenobi series is one of the roster’s most intriguing....
