In a sudden turn of events, when pre-production for Black Panther 2 was in the planning stages, Chadwick Boseman died of colon cancer at 43 after a four-year fight with the disease. Following the summer release of James Gunn’s DC debut movie The Suicide Squad, the director will next take his talents to the small screen with the Peacemaker spin-off, whose first three episodes premiere on HBO Max on January 13, 2022.
