As the first project in Phase 5 of the MCU, Ant-Man: Quantumania holds a significant place in the franchise, with director Peyton Reed noting that it is “going to change the Marvel Cinematic Universe permanently.” However, beyond its potential multiversal implications, the project is also interesting for other reasons, including its stellar cast. For one thing, Quantumania is set to be the first real appearance of Johnathon Majors’ Kang the Conquerer, with a recent poster, revealed at Comic-Con, providing a look at the time-based baddie....

After the internet-stopping reveals during Disney Investor Day last December 10, it was made clear that the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is bright. But he oversees a lot more than that.Back in 2019, Kevin Feige was promoted to Chief Creative Officer at Marvel. This means that in addition to his work at Marvel Studios, the executive’s oversight now expanded over all mediums, including gaming and publishing.For one, this means that when it comes to all the comics released by the company, Feige is able to make decisions or offer advice on the company’s entire line-up....

In 2021, Marvel Studios dipped its toes into the world of animation with the first season of What If…? on Disney+, which is already set to continue into Season 2 as a part of Phase 5. And after Marvel’s animation panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, it’s been confirmed that the show won’t be ending anytime soon, with Season 3 confirmed to be in development. After more than three years since its launch, Disney+’s most-watched series of 2022 have been revealed to the public.2022 was another banner year for Disney’s streaming hub. The platform attracted more than 46 million new subscribers, bringing its running user base to 164.2 million across 108 different countries (via Disney Q4 2022 earnings data).According to Demandsage (a research analytics firm), Disney+ is now “expected to overtake Netflix as the most popular SVOD service” in the world “by 2026....

Sony Pictures is looking to expand heavily on its collection of Marvel-based movies, continuing with Jared Leto’s Morbius in the immediate future. Included in that mix is Madame Web, which still has plenty of secrets left to be revealed. Under the direction of S.J. The Book of Boba Fett is set to highlight the adventures of the galaxy’s most feared bounty hunter, Temuera Morrison’s Boba Fett. Developed by The Mandalorian showrunners Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and director Robert Rodriguez, the upcoming Star Wars series picks up right after the events of the Pedro Pascal-led series as it explores the underworld reign of Fett and his partner, Ming-Na Wen’s Fennec Shand. Shand was first introduced in The Mandalorian as a bounty hunter who was pursuing Din Djarin....

A little while back TreeHugger posted news of the Greater Good campaign, a new initiative being spearheaded by natural body care pioneers Burt’s Bees. The idea behind the campaign is to clear up once and for all the fuzzy definitions of ’natural’ when it comes to personal care products. The initiative is setting out to win support across the industry for a tighter definition of what can, and can not, be described as a natural product, and to raise awareness among consumers, both through education, and through the promotion of a recognized and regulated standard and corresponding seal that could go on all approved products....

Moving into Phase 4, MCU fans have developed more interest than ever in the runtime of the latest releases as they continue to call for longer episodes and big-screen adventures. Nearly all the Disney+ series have received criticism for the length of their installments, but Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was the latest to fall victim to this, as it came in at just 2 hours, 6 minutes. Thor: Love and Thunder is moving ever closer to its July release, and fans have begun speculating how long it will run for....

Out of all upcoming Marvel Studios projects, Agatha: Coven of Chaos was the one that shocked fans the most. Audiences hadn’t guessed they’d be getting a WandaVision spin-off following its villain—but the MCU sure does like to surprise.Since its announcement, however, progress behind the show seems to have gone fairly slowly—at least from the outside looking in. Though fans did get some new information at San Diego Comic-Con 2022: the project’s title changed from House of Harkness to Coven of Chaos and received an estimated release window of late 2023 to early 2024....

The moment the Multiverse was first introduced as a concept for the MCU, viewers knew everything could get weird at a moment’s notice. Marvel Studios wasted absolutely no time proving it when they debuted Loki. The series’ TVA and the introduction of Variants both threw audiences into the deep end of weirdness. After all, there was an alligator Loki; most wouldn’t have expected that to exist ten years ago. The shelter had held the dog past the standard stray hold and no one had come to claim him. The rescue group took him, put him in a foster home and then found him a loving, new family....

Zachary Levi, a veteran of both the DC Universe and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, addressed how Zack Snyder’s DC SnyderVerse came up slightly short against Marvel.Levi is wrapped up in the middle of some major changes with the DC Universe, which is currently being reworked under new DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran. With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, audiences have finally been able to explore the Multiverse properly with Benedict Cumberbatch’s titular hero. It was a rocky road, no doubt, with Scarlet Witch destroying everything she could in her path—but nonetheless, it was great fun. While Loki, What If…?, and Spider-Man: No Way Home all had Multiversal elements, it’s here with director Sam Raimi’s film that audiences truly got to know the concept....
