As Avatar: The Way of Water continues its incredible run at the box office, it just joined a special class of movies that also includes the MCU’s Avengers: Endgame.James Cameron has proven himself to be a box office juggernaut over the years, now boasting three of the five highest-grossing movies in the history of cinema. Still holding the top spot with Avatar, he’s only been challenged recently by Avengers: Endgame, the MCU’s culmination event of the Infinity Saga that shattered records in 2019....

Phase 4 is quickly proving that one of its biggest overarching themes is the idea of legacy after establishing so many long-standing characters throughout the Infinity Saga. This was proven to be the case in the MCU’s second Disney+ outing, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which followed up on the stories for Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes after Steve Rogers passed the shield and mantle of Captain America to Sam....

Since Star Wars first became a part of pop culture in 1977, James Earl Jones helped push the phenomenon to incredible heights thanks to his portrayal of the Sith Lord, Darth Vader. Although that character has gone through various adaptations and actors over the last 40 years, Jones’ voice is the one content in bringing the cyborg antagonist to life on the big and small screen.Vader was last seen in this year’s Obi-Wan Kenobi, with a team of actors and stuntmen helping bring the villain back in his battle against Ewan McGregor’s hero....

Marvel Studios has officially started promoting the third Guardians of the Galaxy film in Brazil.The last time Marvel spoke about Vol. 3 was at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year, where the studio showed off the first footage. They even brought out Chukwudi Iwuji on stage in his High Evolutionary garb.Following that, the project sadly skipped out on the D23 festivities, which saw the announcement of Daredevil: Born Again and the Thunderbolts team lineup, among other things....

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is filled with new and returning characters, not just from the MCU, but across the vast Multiverse as well. One of them is Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Baron Mordo. The character’s last appearance was during the post-credits sequence of 2016’s Doctor Strange where the character announces his mission to cleanse the world of sorcerers. Since then, Mordo wasn’t seen again until marketing for Multiverse of Madness kicked in....

In 2021, director Zack Snyder finally had the opportunity to complete his vision for his DCEU team-up movie with the HBO Max release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League. The oft-discussed Snyder Cut not only pitted DC’s biggest team of heroes against Steppenwolf but also teased the presence of Darkseid, one of DC’s most iconic supervillains.Even though Steppenwolf was the Justice League’s main adversary during the four-hour runtime, Ray Porter’s Darkseid loomed over the plot as the Snyder Cut teased his reign of terror over the galaxy....

While there have been a number of rumored candidates to direct Avengers: Secret Wars, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that nobody has been approached for the job yet.Once Avengers 6 was confirmed to be in development to close out the Multiverse Saga, its director position became the hottest job in the entire MCU. Particularly after MCU rising star Destin Daniel Cretton took the directing post for its predecessor, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, fans looked to the MCU’s past and future to find the best person for that highly-coveted job....

Theaters and movies may be back, but the same can’t be said for Star Wars. Following 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker, tales from that galaxy far, far away have been relegated to Disney+ via The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and the soon-to-be-released Obi-Wan Kenobi. Still, that’s not to say that Star Wars films aren’t on the way; and of them all, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige’s Star Wars film just may be the most intriguing....

Marvel has a packed line-up of upcoming Disney+ properties beyond WandaVision. However, no word has been issued yet on if they are all one-off stories or if some will see follow-up seasons. Some upcoming shows have been described as “event series” — implying that only one season is intended — however, others seem perfectly poised to continue to run for multiple years. The studio will likely wait some time before renewing any of the Disney+ series for their second seasons....

Merchandise for Eternals has been quite revealing. In one instance, a leak confirmed Kro, who will be a prominent Deviant and enemy of the Eternals. These toy leaks have also shown much better looks at some Eternals, like Salma Hayek’s Ajak, which confirmed her as the leader of the Eternals and the only one able to communicate with the Celestials. Recent leaks showed every prominent character in Eternals through their Marvel Legends figures, albeit in not the best quality....

Marvel Studios appears to finally be on track with their release schedule in 2021 after countless delays. After Phase 4’s first three Disney+ shows air, MCU movies will return to theaters in July, starting with Scarlett Johansson’s long-awaited Black Widow. The second of these films will be Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, bringing Marvel Comics’ premier martial artist to the big screen for the first time. Simu Liu has been showcasing his enthusiasm for the character since he was announced in the lead role at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019, and he is surrounded by an all-star cast for his first solo adventure....
