Not only that, but Matt Damon, hilarious, is indeed returning just to play the actor who portrayed Loki in the reenactment of Thor: The Dark World.In late-December, Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone shared a jokey audition tape for Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder. It was very tongue-in-cheek with their “audition” showing Falcone performing a scene from The Tempest and McCarthy giving it her all using Geraldine Page’s The Trip to Bountiful....

New set photos from Spider-Man 3 show that production has begun again after the holidays have finally concluded. Surprisingly enough, Spider-Man 3 seems like it will be set during the holiday season itself—at least partially. Additional photos showed off some neat set production displaying in-universe flyers, such as those supporting both Spider-Man and Mysterio. It’s clear that Spider-Man 3 will deal with the fallout of Spider-Man: Far From Home, but it seems that despite months after Beck outed Peter Parker’s secret identity to the world, people are still in support of the fake heroes “dying” words....

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will not only pay tribute to the legacy of the late Chadwick Boseman and T’Challa, but it will also introduce major characters into the MCU, such as Dominique Thorne’s Riri Williams aka Ironheart. Marketing for Wakanda Forever prominently featured the young Marvel hero, with footage showing her upgraded armor in action in some brief shots. In addition, official merchandise also unveiled close-up shots of the armor and its weapons....

New photos confirm that the MCU’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is still undergoing reshoots.With any MCU production, additional photography is “a given” for the franchise’s movies, meaning that that the studio doesn’t “lock anything in until it’s going to the theaters.“However, these Ant-Man photos don’t involve VFX shots, and the reshoots aren’t happening months away from the film’s debut. Instead, they’re taking place just mere weeks ahead of Ant-Man 3’s premiere....

At the end of 2021, DC fans learned that an obscure property under the title of Dead Boy Detectives was in the works for a premiere on HBO Max, having already gotten a pilot order. While Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four is still some time away from going into production, the team showed its first signs of life in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This came through with one of the biggest casting reveals in MCU history as John Krasinski became the franchise’s first version of Reed Richards in grand fashion. Coming in as part of Earth-838’s Illuminati, Krasinski only had a few minutes on screen as the “smartest man alive,” but he made the most of it with his portrayal of the Fantastic Four’s leading hero in the MCU....

While the MCU’s Phase 5 is bright on the horizon, one team’s debut that is eagerly anticipated is the X-Men. Marvel Studios’ upcoming MCU martial arts blockbuster-in-the-making, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is coming fairly soon. On Monday, April 19, Marvel put out the very first trailer for the film, which gave audiences a glimpse at Shang-Chi’s life and story in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It seems that a major story point might be Shang-Chi’s father, Wenwu reigning him in to take his place at his side leading the fearsome Ten Rings terrorist organization, after sending his son to America for ten years to live a normal life....

Marvel Studios is currently building up to a thrilling ending for its second Disney+ series of Phase 4, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The only slight disappointment is that after Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes deal with the new Captain America and other foes in this show, the MCU appears to be headed for a lengthy gap between releases. June will pick back up with MCU content in a big way with Tom Hiddleson’s Loki, which will be followed on Disney+ by Marvel Studios’ first animated project, What If…?...
