While Michael Keaton did an incredible job portraying the MCU’s Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming, a veteran actor revealed that Marvel Studios almost hired him to play the Marvel villain in the Tom Holland-led solo movie. Spider-Man: Homecoming introduced Michael Keaton as Adrian Toomes, a formidable adversary to Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. Although the web-slinger ultimately defeated Keaton’s MCU villain, the character still made a triumphant return in Morbius, potentially setting up a future sinister team-up....

New info revealed a significant delay for Marvel Studios’ Disney+ series Echo. The upcoming MCU show is set to follow Alaqua Cox’s Maya Lopez, who fans may remember from last year’s Hawkeye. The projects had been initially slated for a “Summer 2023” release, sitting right behind Loki Season 2 on Marvel Studios’ Comic Con 2022 slate. However, that specific release timing has come into question as of late, as production on the title supposedly has not gone all that smoothly....

Episode 3 of Obi-Wan Kenobi has been officially released on Disney+, continuing the story of Ewan McGregor’s titular character as he tries to get Vivien Lyra Blair’s Princess Leia Organa back to Alderaan. Episode 2 featured the Jedi Master and the Princess on Daiyu, attempting to escape from Moses Ingram’s Reva, the Third Sister Inquisitor. The Flash is in a current state of uncertainty due to the issues surrounding its lead star, Ezra Miller. The DCEU actor has been arrested in Hawaii multiple times this year on charges of second-degree assault. One genre of trivia that has always interested me is the origins of phrases and idioms. I have several books on the origins of phrases or literary allusions from my teaching days because when something came up that I was unfamiliar with, I wanted to know what it meant or where it came from. I’ve always been curious about “cold turkey.” I know that it means to give up something abruptly and completely, but I didn’t know the idiom’s origin....
