The future of Star Wars lies with The Mandalorian. The Disney+ streaming series has been one of Disney’s most consistently successful projects since their purchase of Lucasfilm. As the series enters its third season, the show has launched an entire universe within the Lucasian canon, centered around Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin and his trusty (and adorable) companion Grogu. As of now, it is unknown just how long The Mandalorian will go....

Outside of the various Marvel and DC releases from 2022, fans have felt the need for speed this year thanks to one of the most universally beloved movies in recent memory - Top Gun: Maverick. With the sequel coming more than three decades after its predecessor, fans were ready to dive back into this action adventure, and it became an instant success upon its arrival in theaters. It even set the record for the best second weekend at the box office in the pandemic era, and it’s now approaching the top 10 highest grossing movies of all time as it becomes available for release digitally....

A new deal between Sony Pictures and Disney could pave the way for Tom Holland’s return as Spider-Man in the MCU.Sony Pictures struck an unprecedented deal with The Walt Disney Company in 2015 that called for Spider-Man/Peter Parker to once again be rebooted on the big screen, this time in the MCU. Thus the Tom Holland era of the character began in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War. Over the next five years, Holland appeared in three solo films and three MCU films, including Avengers: Infinity War & Endgame....

I have never been crazy about Murphy beds. You have to make the bed, usually tie a strap around the mattress and then fold it up. It takes up wall space and cuts down floor area a bit. On the other hand, the ceiling isn’t doing much other than holding up the next floor and a few light fixtures. That’s why I have always been intrigued by the idea of the hanging bed where you haul it up and store it against the ceiling....

The massive success of the Avengers franchise should provide enough evidence that an Avengers 5 film is on the horizon. After the enormous financial and critical win from Avengers: Endgame last year, the superhero team-up is currently on a hiatus to make way for new characters and storylines in the upcoming Phase 4 slate. While the next wave of films doesn’t include an Avengers 5 film, Marvel Studios Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige did imply that something is in the works for Earth’s Mightiest heroes, with him teasing that “it will be a very different team than we’ve seen before....

While female heroes took the spotlight in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, producer Nate Moore shared why the ratio of male to female heroes turned out so one-sided in the story.Black Panther 2 concluded the MCU’s Phase 4 storyline in grand fashion, becoming the third-highest-grossing movie in the Phase while earning overwhelmingly positive reviews across the board. It also set a unique record by becoming the highest-grossing female-led superhero movie in history domestically, only trailing Captain Marvel worldwide....

With Ms. Marvel still delivering delight weekly, it’s no wonder fans are looking forward to seeing Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel team up with her cosmic comrades. Kamala will round out the trio that includes Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau and Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel. Speculation is surging about what threat will bring these heroes together, especially considering Monica’s chilly relationship with Carol. The main villain of The Marvels will reportedly be played by Zawe Ashton, but who exactly she’s portraying is unclear....

In celebration of its Disney+ premiere, it was revealed that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has an unexpected placement in the MCU’s timeline. Black Panther 2 served as the culmination of the MCU’s Phase 4. The sequel paid tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman while also moving the story forward by introducing Shuri as the next Black Panther. In the weeks leading to the sequel, one of the main subjects of discussion from fans is the movie’s place in the shared universe’s timeline....

Next up on Marvel Studios’ slate is Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. After the introduction of the Multiverse in Loki and a little further elaboration in Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans are now going to get to dive into the deep end with the upcoming Sam Raimi-directed feature. Who better to take such a tippy journey than the former Sorcerer Supreme himself? Of course, he won’t be alone....

Ahsoka will continue to expand the story of Rosario Dawson’s titular Jedi, and the first brief look from the upcoming Disney+ series offered a glimpse of what to expect.Lucasfilm surprised everyone when Dawson’s Ahsoka showed up as a guest star in The Mandalorian Season 2, helping Din Djarin discover more about Baby Yoda’s origin as a Jedi and his real name, Grogu. Since then, fans’ attention shifted to Ahsoka’s own solo series....

Don Cheadle, James Rhodes (War Machine) in the MCU, spoke in a recent interview about feeling as though his character has not been explored properly in the franchise thus far.While the character of James Rhodes was first introduced to fans back in 2008’s Iron Man, he wasn’t played by Don Cheadle until Iron Man 2 a couple of years later. Affectionately called Rhodey by his peers and teammates, Rhodes is more than just Iron Man’s best friend....

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier essentially feels like a fourth Captain America film, but with Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes leading the charge instead of Steve Rogers. While Spider-Man: No Way Home is dominating the comic book conversation right now, people must not forget that Marvel Studios still has one more MCU entry to finish off 2021 with. The final episode of Hawkeye is just days away from its debut on Disney+, and fans are still reeling from the world-shaking Daredevil-related reveal in Episode 5’s final moments. Episode 5, titled “Ronin”, saw the introduction of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk (aka Kingpin) into the MCU....

The DC Extended Universe has made a couple of huge strides this week starting with the official announcement for the imminent release of the elusive Justice League Snyder-cut on HBO Max next year. Another huge bombshell hit the news streams just a couple days later. After his surprise appearance on the Zack Snyder-led watch party for 2017’s Justice League, reports from multiple news outlets have flooded in confirming Henry Cavill’s imminent return to the DCEU as Superman....

If you’re a sucker for a vine-ripe summer tomato, don’t hide it. Flaunt it. Better yet. Snap it off and plant it. Suckers, the shoots that sprout in the “V” between a tomato plant’s main stem and its branches, can easily be broken off, rooted and planted. They will grow into mature plants that will bear fruit. Marvel Studios has found an incredibly successful way of doing things for fourteen years now, with the Marvel Cinematic Universe being unlike anything else in the film industry. The studio has released dozens of projects under different “Sagas”, all of which are subdivided into “Phases”.For example, the current Multiverse Saga is comprised of Phases 4 through 6 (MCU releases from 2021 thru 2026), while the Infinity Saga was composed of Phases 1 through 3 (Marvel movies from 2008 thru 2019)....

The MCU is home to six of the most well-known weapons in all of pop culture: the Infinity Stones. The iconic objects were built up over a decade of films to culminate into one of the biggest films of the generation, Avengers: Endgame. Ironically, one of the worst movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (at least according to Rotten Tomatoes and the fans) played a massive role in capping off the Infinity Saga with the Stones in use....
