Even as global demand for all-things-coconut increases, coconut production in Asia is stagnating because farmers aren’t paid enough to make it worthwhile. The problem, as usual, is that consumers aren’t willing to pay enough for their favourite new commodity. Coconut products are relative newcomers to mainstream markets in North America, and there’s little information available about production standards, at least compared to other tropical imports. Fair trade certification for coffee, chocolate, and tea is on everyone’s radar, whether or not they choose to support it, but the same discussion is almost absent from coconut products....

DC is set to expand its animation slate by introducing DC League of Super-Pets, a movie headlined by a stellar cast that includes Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Kevin Hart, Keanu Reeves, Natasha Lyonne, and John Krasinksi. The upcoming film will revolve around Krypto, Superman’s dog, uniting a team of super-powered pets to help free the Justice League after being captured by Lex Luthor and an evil guinea pig named Lulu. Of course, the DC superhero movie wouldn’t be complete without the Justice League....

Marvel Studios has been introducing a lot of new characters to the audiences over the last year. This includes the likes of Monica Rambeau to Kate Bishop and now Moon Knight’s many personalities. The trend is set to keep going with another big character set to make their grand entrance later this year in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever: Riri Williams. The character is played by Dominique Thorne and will show up on the movie side of the MCU before debuting in her own Disney+ series....

It’s hard to believe Star Wars took the world by storm over 40 years ago. The venerable space-fantasy franchise has more than withstood the test of time. This is, in part, due to the original three films being such strong offerings. They’re well cast, tightly plotted, and, for their time, possess dazzling special effects, courtesy of George Lucas’ in-house special effects company, Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). Avengers: Infinity War delivered a significant event that caused massive ramifications across the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The aforementioned phenomenon was Thanos’ Snap, otherwise known as the Blip, where half of the universe’s population is turned into dust. Ever since it was announced at D23 that director Jon Watts would be helming the next Fantastic Four film, fans couldn’t wait to see Marvel’s first family introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For the time being, the next Star Wars film is scheduled for a December 2025 theatrical release.
