These scientists say that respecting and understanding plants and trees is essential for our future. We humans have a wide range of feelings about members of the kingdom Plantae, from total disregard to thinking they are clever friends. Given that this is TreeHugger, we lean toward, at the very least, wanting to give them a big embrace. But what does science have to say about our botanical cohabitants? This is what the BBC World Service Inquiry program wondered when they asked four scientists what they thought about plants....

As Black Panther: Wakanda Forever prepares for its Disney+ release, new promotional trailers have been released to celebrate the 30th MCU movie’s streaming debut.Black Panther 2 will finally be available to stream worldwide at the start of February 2023, setting an MCU record for the most time between theatrical and streaming releases. This allowed the sequel to make the most out of its run in theaters as it approached $850 million at the global box office, giving fans an emotional second solo story out of Wakanda as the Black Panther legacy moved forward to new heights....

Disney+ is home to a plethora of content from Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, Disney, and National Geographic. The popular streaming service has experienced exponential growth in its subscriber count over the years, while also consistently expanding its content library. As Disney+ expands with fresh shows and movies, the House of Mouse recently decided to stir things up by adding a new way for consumers to enjoy the service with advertisements. Disney+ has been ad-free ever since its launch in November 2019, but this new payment plan will offer subscribers Disney+ at a reduced rate with commercials....

We have a strip of woods behind our house where deer often wander. They’ve been forced into this relatively small swath of trees due to an overwhelming amount of construction. Not long ago the American plastics industry and the American Chemistry Council were at war with the US Green Building Council over the fact that they would even consider that plastics were not green. But they are fighting a losing battle, as those few architecture firms that actually care about sustainability try and build with more natural, bio-based materials.
