James Gunn has confirmed that the DCU will share closer ties with DC Publishing in the future. In early November, Gunn took up the position of co-CEO of the newly renamed DC Studios. Working alongside Peter Safran, he’s already made massive changes. Not all of these have proved popular, with the new DC Boss already facing backlash from some fans over the bleak future of Zack Snyder’s DC Universe. There have also been massive on-screen changes announced, with certain signs pointing toward a DCU reboot....

As Marvel Studios approaches the end of Phase 4, the MCU has delivered a slew of new villains in theaters and on Disney+ over the past couple of years. Disney+ has added a new collection to its service that groups together a large handful of Lucasfilm projects, a majority of which are from Star Wars.When it comes to these collections on the streaming service, oftentimes, they are created in anticipation of an upcoming project.For example, there was a Black Panther bundle created ahead of Wakanda Forever, a Thor set proceeding Love and Thunder, and an Obi-Wan Kenobi collection prior to the Disney+ series—a handful of other examples exist....

Fans got a new look at Jude Law’s upcoming Star Wars character thanks to an image from the Skeleton Crew Disney+ series.Lucasfilm is set to explore a new area of the galaxy far, far away in Skeleton Crew, which will feature Jude Law in the leading role amongst a group of new young stars. The upcoming series remains largely a mystery, although it’s under the watchful eye of The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau and Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts....

Fans of WandaVision have wondered if there will be another season with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige not giving a definitive answer. Although Elizabeth Olsen was recently asked about the possibility of another season of WandaVision, to which she was quick to shoot down, saying that it was “definitely a limited series,” but that doesn’t mean the end of Wanda’s story. Kevin Feige has said in the past that some Disney+ shows would have multiple seasons, but it seems like WandaVision might not be one of them....

Marvel Studios is only three weeks away from beginning its new slate of series on Disney+ with the release of WandaVision on January 15. After releasing a second full trailer teasing more of the show’s plot at Disney Investor’s Day, the Disney Magical Parks Christmas Celebration premiered a one-minute trailer with new footage in anticipation of the show’s release. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to feature the return of Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff, with the former Avenger teaming up with Benedict Cumberbatch’s titular sorcerer. James Gunn and Peter Safran could wait until after 2023 to announce who DC Studios has recast for its major characters. While Gunn has already promised that the reveal of the rebooted DCU slate is imminent, 2023 is already a huge year for the DC brand. Shazam! Fury of the Gods is set to arrive in March, followed by The Flash and Blue Beetle in the summer, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom closing out the year on Christmas Day....
