The MCU is a grand tapestry of storytelling, with diverse threads weaving in and out to create an expansive shared universe. However, lately, many have claimed that Marvel Studios isn’t giving enough focus to one single storyline and instead offering “filler.”Something else that Marvel has been feeding audiences lately is sequels. All three of their 2022 films were follow-ups to earlier entries with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, and the forthcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever....

With the secrets of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness now out in the open, many have been left disappointed by the less-than-expected number of cameos and surprises the film delivered. In a tale that naturally kept its focus set on Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange and Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch, Earth-838’s Illuminati was the source of the biggest shocks. The Illuminati - led by Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Baron Mordo - featured the surprise return of Marvel legacy mainstay Professor X, played by Patrick Stewart, along with Anson Mount’s Black Bolt....

There’s no band in history with more iconic album covers than Pink Floyd, and there’s perhaps no more iconic album cover than that of the band’s 1977 album Animals. The photo, with that big inflatable pig soaring between the towers, has become something of a cultural symbol and still conjures notions as surreal as the album it represents. Revealed as a part of Marvel/Disney’s CCXP panel, fans got their first look at Will Poulter as Adam Warlock in the debut Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (GOTG3) trailer. Marvel Studios, who has a significant presence at Brazil’s CCXP Expo, pulled the curtain back on James Gunn’s latest (and likely last) MCU epic, giving audiences a sneak peek at next’s May’s “emotional” galactic journey. While fans got caught up with most of the Guardians during this Winter’s The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, one name the MCU faithful - aside from those lucky enough to be in attendance at Marvel’s Hall H San Diego Comic-Con panel - have yet to see from the upcoming threequel is Will Poulter’s Adam Warlock....

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is heading into its second week in theaters, giving a look into just how big the Marvel universe really is after only teasing it in the movie’s trailers. The film also gave Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch a chance to fully dive into a villainous role after her going through some serious mental troubles in last year’s WandaVision. Olsen was one of the biggest reasons that the newest MCU movie dove so deep into the horror genre, as she was relentless in her pursuit to steal America Chavez’s powers in order to bring her family back together....

The ending of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier left fans with numerous loose ends to set the stage for the future of the MCU, and it’s clear that Sam and Bucky’s story isn’t over. The series creator Malcolm Spellman is currently writing a fourth Captain America movie that will presumably feature Sam Wilson in the titular role this time instead of Steve. Marvel Studios has for the most part cautiously avoided any questions regarding second seasons to any of its Disney+ projects and so far it seems most will be one-and-done....

Life is a bit quieter in Churchill, Manitoba these days. The tourists have left, and the polar bears have disappeared into the icy Hudson Bay to hunt for seals. The “Polar Bear Capital of the World” is now essentially without polar bears. At least for a few months. The bears will swim ashore in mid-July, but they won’t gather in great numbers until September. This is when bear season begins in Churchill, a town with fewer than 1,000 residents....

Marvel Studios’ most recent Disney+ series was the animated What If…?, a story made up of alternate timelines where events went slightly differently than what fans know and love. A Blade film was announced back at 2019’s San Diego Comic-Con. The major attachment to the film was Mahershala Ali in the titular role as the human-vampire hybrid. Plot details have remained unknown, and when the project was announced at SDCC, it seemed like there wasn’t much else of a plan besides Ali starring. Earlier this year, it was reported that HBO Watchmen writer Stacy Osei-Kuffour was hired by Marvel Studios to lead the Blade script....

While last year didn’t have much content for DC Comics fans, audiences are eating well in 2022. The Batman is just over a month away and, more currently, James Gunn’s Peacemaker is airing new episodes on HBO Max. Starring John Cena, the show takes the miraculously alive character and puts him right into the spotlight. After the events of The Suicide Squad, the (potentially) former villain has a new lease on life—one that’s almost immediately interrupted by ARGUS, who has a different plan for his future....

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has delivered an exciting new hero into the MCU’s growing Phase 4 story in Tatiana Maslany’s Jennifer Walters. This journey for She-Hulk has been a particularly long one as well, as its nine-episode slate ties it for the longest live-action Disney+ series in the MCU to date along with 2021’s WandaVision.Outside of the animated What If…? series, which was also nine episodes long, every other Disney+ entry within the MCU has had a six-installment run over the past two years - a trend that is set to continue with upcoming series in 2023....

Sony Pictures is actively working to expand its Spider-Man Universe after seeing massive profits from last year’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. As the company tries to put Morbius in the rear-view mirror, the franchise is already deep into filming Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Kraven the Hunter, which will bring one of Marvel’s most fearsome villains to the big screen.This will be Taylor-Johnson’s second Marvel role after first playing Quicksilver in the MCU’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, and he has a stellar cast of characters surrounding him in this story....

Elephants are intelligent and graceful animals, but much like humans, they need some time to outgrow the awkwardness of youth. Although it only takes newborn elephants a few hours to master standing and walking — vital skills for nursing — they need much more time to figure out how to use their trunks. The long appendages on their faces are valuable multipurpose tools, but without an instruction manual, it can be almost a year before baby elephants really understand how to use them....

According to numerous Australian news outlets, the Academy Award winner landed in Sydney, Australia yesterday via a private jet to begin his mandatory quarantine ahead of production....

Largely thanks to director Taika Waititi, Marvel Studios is about to add the fourth chapter to Thor’s solo story with Thor: Love and Thunder, releasing in just a few weeks. Following Avengers: Endgame in 2019, Chris Hemsworth’s future with the franchise was uncertain, but his hero now appears set to be an important piece in Marvel’s immediate future. Waititi’s work on 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok thrust him into the mainstream spotlight as he brought his unique brand of comedy and emotion to the MCU, delivering one of the franchise’s most beloved solo movies....
