Fans received an unexpected reveal recently when Deadline reported that Marvel Studios hired Jake Schreier as the director for an upcoming adaptation of the Thunderbolts comics. For those unfamiliar, the group is Marvel’s Suicide Squad. Many fans hypothesized how the studio has been building the team since Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ appearance in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, where she recruited Wyatt Russell’s John Walker to her mysterious cause. Even when that moment happened in the closing moments of the series, Russell had no idea when he’d be returning to the character....

Chloé Zhao made her MCU directorial debut with Eternals. Whilst the film did not have an ideal reception, it has still garnered a loyal fanbase. Now, those fans have made themselves heard, and have even brought their own hopes of a certain crossover for the the Eternals franchiseMuch like Zhao, Captain Marvel actress Brie Larson also had a rather rocky start to the MCU. Despite these unfortunate beginnings, both seem to find great enjoyment in their Marvel work....

Lucasfilm is only a few months away from its return to live-action storytelling after finishing the seventh episode of The Book of Boba Fett. This will come on May 25 with Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi, a limited series set between the Star Wars prequels and the original trilogy from the Skywalker Saga. Even with not much of a promotional tour thus far, Obi-Wan is building up plenty of hype for its debut....

Blending ground beef with mushrooms cuts both calories and carbon emissions. Oh, and lots of folks say it tastes better too. When I wrote about Sonic trialing a part-beef, part-mushroom burger at select stores, I couldn’t help but wonder whether it would take off. After all, most folks hitting up a drive thru restaurant chain aren’t there for their health. That said, the new burger can’t have been a complete flop, because Sonic just added it to their menu at all restaurants nationwide....

Following the dismissal of Gina Carano by Lucasfilm, the future of Star Wars television is in need of a second look. The Mandalorian spawned a new era of live-action storytelling in the galaxy far, far away, and Carano’s Cara Dune was set to be a big part of Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni’s creative plans going forward. Several new Disney+ series have been announced in recent months that will directly tie-in with The Mandalorian and plot points that were introduced, but with Carano now unable to participate in any of these stories, there’s a void that needs to be filled....

The Arrowverse is in a state of limbo after several shows were recently canceled. Batwoman was the first series to receive the ax, followed by the eventual cancellations of Legends of Tomorrow and Naomi. This comes after multiple Twitter campaigns from the respective shows’ writers’ room trying to push for their renewals. Despite the cancellations of several Arrowverse shows, there are still remaining projects in the superhero lineup of The CW, namely The Flash, Superman & Lois, and a new series in the form of Gotham Knights....

Tiny houses are a big deal these days, and a lot of people are getting into the business of designing, building and selling them. There is a reason that tiny houses are on chassis and are less than 8’-6" wide outside: on wheels and that width, they are not considered buildings and are not subject to traditional building codes or zoning bylaws. As Marvel Studios brings more new characters into the MCU’s Phase 4, fan casts for certain characters are growing exponentially more popular on social media. Most recently, one fan-casting that’s often been discussed features The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus taking on the role of Johnny Blaze, better known as the fiery anti-hero Ghost Rider. Ghost Rider is currently a hot topic, as the character is often included in the group of potential new MCU arrivals courtesy of next month’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness....

While the world patiently waits for new content from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there have been a few reveals in recent weeks that might’ve gotten fans excited. One MCU property in the form of WandaVision has been at the forefront of those reveals. Previously, it was revealed that Evan Peters had joined the cast of the Disney+ series, seemingly raising more questions than answers about the outlook of the show. On top of that, additional filming for the show is set to take place next month, which could hint that there are more scenes that need to be tweaked or added....

Spider-Man: No Way Home remains one of the biggest blockbuster movies on the planet, even more than three months after its theatrical debut. Thanks to elements and characters from Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s worlds joining the MCU through the Multiverse, the threequel still remains one of the hottest topics in Hollywood. Baby Yoda took the world by storm and the first season was a smash hit, introducing us to several new characters in the Star Wars universe while telling a contained story in a western setting....

The world has met another superhero. No, not Kate Bishop, or Marc Spector—most recently it’s been Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan. Ms. Marvel aired its first episode a few days ago on Disney+ to overwhelmingly positive reactions. Despite the controversy surrounding all of the major changes to her powerset, the new Marvel Studios outing went over well with fans.How could it not? Vellani’s hero is endlessly lovable, and the actress’s love for everything Marvel seeps into her performance....
