Marvel Studios has sat comfortably at the forefront of Hollywood popularity for over a decade now. Morbius is set to take center stage as the next project of Sony’s Marvel universe. The upcoming movie will showcase the Marvel debut of Jared Leto as the titular living vampire. In the comics, Morbius is a Spider-Man villain, but the film will portray the character as an anti-hero instead, similar to what Sony is doing with Tom Hardy’s Venom. Marketing for Morbius has been on and off in the past year due to the film’s continued delays....

There are few original IPs that have garnered as much popularity in recent years as Netflix’s sci-fi horror Stranger Things. Just like all families, the Marvel Studios bunch has plenty of play-fighting within. Dating back to his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, Tom Holland has been subject to tongue-in-cheek ridicule from co-star Anthony Mackie. The MCU’s current Captain America has joked about the young Holland needing his “juice box” on set and has mocked his “squeaky” voice. The effects of deforestation on Earth are massive. Land is routinely cleared and degraded for agriculture and the production of wood and paper products. National Geographic calls this plight a “forest Holocaust,” reporting that more than 80 percent of the planet’s natural forests have been lost to deforestation. The U.S. State Department estimates that forests “four times the size of Switzerland” are destroyed every year. Deforestation’s impact on climate change has piqued NASA’s interest in documenting its progress across the globe....

The worldwide pandemic continues to wreak havoc with the theatrical release schedule. Films such as Wonder Woman 1984 have seen their release dates moved multiple times this year to allow for more time to get the pandemic under control. Many had hoped that Tenet’s release would signal a return to theaters, but cinemas are still being seen as unsafe in many locations around the world, which has resulted in studios reshuffling their slates once again....

Disney+ has revealed its December 2022 release slate that includes 63 movies, shows, and specials, much of it being original content.December marks a major departure from most of Disney+’s 2022 calendar as it will be the first time since March that the House of Mouse has not delivered an original piece of MCU content. And with Andor having just wrapped up its freshman outing, there will also be no content coming from the Star Wars galaxy either....

It’s been two months since The Book of Boba Fett completed its run on Disney+, with the series finale having broken viewership records. The series split time between the past and present, giving fans a look at how Boba survived the Sarlacc and was taken in by a Tusken tribe to lay the groundwork for his rise as a crime lord. When Netflix announced that its Marvel series would be leaving the platform in March there was some concern over where they would end up. However, seeing as the distribution rights to the characters of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Punisher reverted back to Marvel in early 2021, it came as no surprise that The Defenders saga moved over to Disney+. After weeks of promotional material and early reviews from critics, Marvel Studios finally brought Academy Award-winning director Chloé Zhao’s Eternals to theaters across the world. Not only did this movie set the stage for powerful new heroes to take their place alongside the Avengers, but it also helped give more depth to past MCU movies in the Infinity Saga as well. The most prominent aspect from MCU projects of yore was the Celestials, for whom Eternals gave a full backstory and explanation after past movies like Guardians of the Galaxy teased their existence in the cosmos....

One might not like him when he’s angry, but fans have still found a lot to like about the MCU’s Hulk. Portrayed via motion-capture performance by Mark Ruffalo, the actor has seen the character through various transformations. In the original Avengers and Age of Ultron, the Hulk was basically a furious, uncontrollable brute. It wasn’t until 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok that the character gained more of a personality along with the ability to speak in more than a couple of words at a time....

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has grown immensely, even in just the past year. A new behind-the-scenes video from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness showed Thor’s underutilized brother, Balder the Brave, in a deleted MCU scene.Doctor Strange 2 brought an exciting new set of characters to the forefront with the Illuminati, teasing just how vast the Multiverse truly is with appearances by Captain Carter, Reed Richards, and more. Unfortunately, they all met their end in gruesome fashion thanks to Wanda Maximoff’s assault on their compound, using her powers to take out five of the group’s six members without much effort at all....
