Marvel Studios’ future theatrical state continues to fill up after Phases 5 and 6 were announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2022. Two months later, Deadpool 3 has officially been announced and placed in the recently shifted September 6, 2024 release date. Ryan Reynolds will be joined by a surprising co-star, as Hugh Jackman is now set to reprise his role as Wolverine.Something missing from any future plans was another installment in the Thor franchise....

Erosion is a natural process that can create spectacular art. Just consider the Painted Hills, located in eastern Oregon about nine miles northwest of Mitchell. The area is part of John Day Fossil Beds National Monument; some might say the Painted Hills are its crowning jewel, with its jaw-dropping colors of orange, yellow, pink, rust, tan and more all colliding in a layered spectacle of Earth’s geological past. The Painted Hills are considered one of the Seven Wonders of Oregon, and as Travel Oregon puts it, “Seeing the hills makes you feel a bit like you’ve stepped onto another planet, though you’re actually taking a peek into our own earth’s history....

The Marvel Cinematic Universe may be all the rage, but let’s not forget how they do have competitors. For example, there’s Sony Pictures and its Spider-Man Universe. Currently, only Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage are part of that label. But the next entry is right around the corner: Morbius. Led by Jared Leto, the titular character is a man who accidentally becomes a vampire while trying to cure his degenerative blood disease....

Eternals actor Patton Oswalt recently talked about some past comments he made about the film’s sequel already being planned.Eternals was released in 2021 and quickly became one of the most polarizing films in the entire MCU. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is finally here, and fans have now been able to jump through realities alongside both Benedict Cumberbatch’s Stephen Strange and Xochitl Gomez’s America Chavez. The Multiverse holds many wonders, and the newest MCU outing only showcased a sliver of what’s out there. Part of that small sampling, however, gave fans a fairly substantial X-Men Easter egg: the appearance of the Savage Land. Tom Hiddleston’s Loki remains one of the most popular characters in Marvel Studios’ cache of heroes and villains, even after more than a decade of service since his debut in 2011’s Thor. Now, after Season 1 of Loki made waves throughout its run on Disney+, it’s already set for a second round of episodes in the near future. Loki became the first Disney+ show from Marvel Studios to be officially confirmed for a Season 2 in its sixth episode’s post-credits scene, although details are scarce beyond that news....

Marvel fans are eagerly anticipating the release of Loki Season 2 and for good reason. The first season of the Disney+ series left fans on a massive cliffhanger, seeing Loki back in the TVA looking at a menacing statue of Kang the Conquerer. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania increased the excitement for Loki season 2 by including a post-credit scene with Loki and Mobius watching a presentation on time given by one of Kang’s variants, Victor Timely (read our full thoughts on that Ant-Man 3 post-credit scene here)....

Moon Knight’s finale showcased the transformation of May Calamawy’s Layla into the MCU’s Scarlet Scarab as well as the proper debut of Oscar Isaac’s Jake Lockley. Although the episode didn’t actually give Layla a superhero name, Marvel Studios later revealed the Scarlet Scarab title for the character. This is on top of the fact that Layla’s suit resembles the scarab artifact that has been integral to the plot of the show’s main storyline....

Morbius is the next villain-turned-anti-hero who will debut on the big screen as part of Sony’s Marvel universe. The upcoming movie will feature Jared Leto as the titular living vampire, a character who is a Spider-Man villain in the comics but is being shown as a hero in the project similar to Tom Hardy’s Venom. While it is unknown where Morbius fits in the vast Spider-Verse, the film is expected to shed some light on Sony’s plan for its Marvel characters....

Marvel Cinematic Universe fans are highly anticipating the arrival of Marvel Studios’ new batch of mini-series in Fall 2020. The new era of storytelling on Disney+ is set to begin with The Falcon and The Winter Soldier once the series is cleared to film the rest of its material. While the story behind the MCU’s debut Disney+ series is still just as much of a mystery as the rest of the slate, we do at least know of one major villlain in Daniel Bruhl’s Hemult Zemo returning from Captain America: Civil War to give the title heroes plenty of problems....

Samuel L. Jackson recently teased his return as Nick Fury on Instagram by showing off his prosthetic beard, but didn’t specify if it was for Secret Invasion or The Marvels. Many had assumed it was for the former, as he was already confirmed as the lead of Secret Invasion at the 2020 Disney Investor’s Meeting. Additionally, Secret Invasion was reported to begin filming sometime this August, seemingly supported by Jackson’s social media post....
