After nearly half a dozen new TV shows and movies coming in 2022, this year is set to end for Marvel Studios with Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever on November 11. This movie has faced more challenges than just about any MCU project in Phase 4 yet, not least of which is handling the death of the MCU’s man behind the Black Panther - Chadwick Boseman. Following a long, drawn-out battle with colon cancer, Boseman passed away in August 2020, leaving Marvel Studios in a difficult place with the sequel to the highest-grossing solo movie in MCU history up to that point....

Director Matt Reeves is embracing a different mythos of the caped crusader, focusing on his detective skills, and set during his early crime-fighting days in Gotham City. Alongside the reveals from Matt Reeves himself, it’s clear that the 2021 film will be unlike anything explored before, opening the door to uncharted territory....
The on-screen adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman has had a tumultuous development but will now finally get its chance as a Netflix series. Being developed by Wonder Woman writer Allan Heinberg, The Sandman will finally bring Dream’s story to the small screen. Though the project is currently filming in the United Kingdom, details on its cast have been scarce. English actor Tom Sturridge was reported to be in talks for the leading role, but his involvement has yet to be confirmed....
DC Comics fans were likely surprised when Warner Bros. announced a massive shift in its upcoming releases. At one point, 2022 was home to five different live-action projects—now, only three will make it into the year. Of course, there was The Batman earlier this year, but then will come Black Adam in October and Shazam! Fury of the Gods in December. The Flash, Aquaman, and (almost certainly) Batgirl have been pushed back, making 2023 quite a massive year for the studio....

Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye is building up to an epic finish with the season finale coming on December 22, 2021, likely closing out the year with a bang in the MCU’s streaming sphere. Thanks to its penultimate episode fully delivering Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova and giving Kingpin fans hope for the future, the hype for the show’s finale is skyrocketing in short order. June 14 is apparently International Bath Day, celebrating the anniversary of the day (one week before the beginning of summer according to Greek legend) when Archimedes tried to figure out the density of a crown to determine if it was gold or something else less valuable, like silver. As Hugh Jackman prepares for his highly-anticipated comeback as Wolverine, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige hyped up the fact that Jackman will be part of the MCU’s first R-rated movie.Deadpool 3 will mark the MCU’s first foray into R-rated storytelling, continuing with the same rating that the first two movies used while diverting away from Marvel Studios’ long-standing run in the PG-13 category.Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman will team up as Wade Wilson and James Howlett for the first time in more than a decade, finally bringing a fully R-rated team-up effort to the MCU....
Marvel Studios’ She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has officially closed out its first full season thanks to a wild season finale that changed the game in the MCU. In August, Charles Murphy of Murhpy’s Multiverse found that Disney registered two new production companies, Solve Everything Productions and Grass-Fed Productions. At the time, Murphy couldn’t confirm whether or not these were related to any Marvel Studios production, but based upon their names; Murphy narrowed the possibilities down to Fantastic Four, Blade, and even Spider-Woman. Charles Murphy believes that Solve Everything Productions was connected to Fantastic Four, since it was the name of the first story-arc of Jonathan Hickman’s Fantastic Four run....
